The Fountain Addition
Yes I added a fountain,it was on sale! I think, or it was really cheap and it was not made of concreate and eight thousand pounds (Im sure thats why Johnny liked it, not becouse of the pineapple like he claims, but becouse it didnt kill his back to move it)and it was the style I had wanted and I didnt have to pay extra to have it sprayed with a color other than gray! Ok is that enough reasons yet, plus I got to totally redo the whole area! I added pavers around the edge of the bed and down the walkway and I got to use my new favorite Gardenias... the "Daisy" which is a dwarf single bloom and the variegated full size ones I recently discovered, and I used the new "Knockout" rose so I can tell people how mine do in my yard right it will help sell them right? ( they are supposed to bloom with only 6 hours of sunlight a day...we will see!) And I even got to add another plant I really like but have never planted (yes there is such a creature) Orange Jasmine, 15 of them for the backdrop and they are in bloom and smell fantastic!!! Oh and I added Agapanthus in the front mixed with variegated society garlic, best of all I got to incorporate my favorite new Hibiscus that a fellow garden fanatic friend of mine picked up in south Florida for me "Red Hot" Hibiscus, they are variegated but alot more red in the leaves than the "Snow Queen" varity. And untill now they have not had the perfect place and now I think they do, just enough light to bloom but still winter protection from the huge sweet gum tree over the patio. I havent mulched it yet but Johnny brought me a pallet of Red pinebark mulch that will blend with the pavers and we would have put that down tonight if it werent for that whole stupid time change thing! It gets dark at 5:30 tell me thats not rediculous! Im going to have to but spotlights just to see the #$@&*^ thing! So now all I want for that spot is some creeping fig to cover up the fence and it will be just perfect.I think. Maybe. (untill next time) The Madness continues...
